New Berkenstocks are really great; they are comfortable, looks great and fits perfectly. Unfortunately though, if your pair of Berkenstock sandals has already been with you for quite some time now, you’ll find out that it gets loose. Additionally, the more you use it, the more it becomes loose. Walking around with loose sandals can be annoying because you are often worried that your sandals will get left behind when you take each step. Having no back, the more problematic it becomes and the easier it gets loose. What if you are forced to run or walk fast, the more head-aching it gets and the sillier you’d look.

Since the straps on Berkenstocks are made of soft leather, it begins to loosen over time. Well, naturally these have buckle straps that you can adjust but what if you have small feet, you will really have to make some alterations to your strap just to keep on using it. To begin, we look at how to adjust the strap. Unbuckle all the straps by taking the buckle pin out of the hole in the straps. When everything is unfastened, place your foot on the shoe and stand up. Try to bend forward or kneel, like the proposing kneel, and pull the straps through the buckle until it feels snug and comfortable. Finally, insert the buckle pin into the closest hole and stand up then walk around to feel if it is on just right. Loosen or tighten one hole if it is too tight or too loose, respectively. If however, while fitting it, there are no more holes on your strap that would constitute a perfect fit then you’d need to make one. Do the same procedures as the adjusting of the buckle until your fitting. Using a pencil, mark the spot where you need to make a hole to allow the buckle pin to go through which would be a perfect fit for you. Take the strap with the exterior facing outwards and place it on a wooden surface that you can make holes on, then using a nail that has the same diameter as the other holes, punch it through the spot where you marked with a hammer. Try to lock it with the buckle, repeat the step if the pin can’t go through and when you’re done, you can now get a better fit.

It’s rather easy to alter your pair of Berkenstocks when it becomes loose. Just try to measure it properly so as to refrain from making too many holes. You can now use it over and over again or until you run out of straps to make holes on.

Berkenstocks is a popular brand of shoes that range from sandals, boots, leather shoes and so many more. Typically having male designs, nowadays, there are also many female designs of Berkenstocks that you can find out in the market. This brand of shoes is built to be durable, stylish and comfortable for any occasion. Be it walking, shopping, parties or just about anywhere you can think of, Berkenstocks are up to the task. There are just so many things that you can do with a pair of Berkenstocks and there is one thing that it can also be applicable with which is passing yourself off as a tomboy. Yes, you read right, passing off as a tomboy.

There are numerous reasons as to why some women would want to pass off as tomboys. For starters, some do this to convince another that they just aren’t interested in a relationship while for some they just want to shock their parents or play a prank on someone. There are also others who pass themselves off as tomboys just to discourage men from staring and for some they just feel better with a tomboyish look. To begin looking tomboyish, dress for comfort. This would mean no skirt, dresses, tube tops, spaghettis or even high-heeled designer shoes. It would be better to wear flannel shirts and practical shoes like Berkenstocks. Don’t bother looking feminine because the goal here is to fool people using society’s stereotypes. Never wear makeup but if you think showing your naked face in public is not an option then put on a light makeup that no one would notice. Always cut your fingernails short and don’t polish or color them. For your hair, sport a short, spiky hair to show your new image. If you have a long hair but can’t bear cutting it short, don’t fix it. When talking to other people, often mention carpentry stuff or power tools or even sports to give that tomboyish image. Finally, if you’re having somebody over, you can always put some male stuff or lesbian books, CDs, posters and so many more around your house. Being obvious is the key to people noticing your new image.

With these few steps and a pair of Berkenstocks, everyone will notice and acknowledge your new image and with a little bit of acting, you can successfully pass yourself off as a tomboy.

Berkenstocks are quite popular even till today because of its durability and comfort. It brings the combinations of trend, fashion and style with functionality and practicality together without requiring you to pay for so much. This German shoe brand has so many different kinds that you can choose from like sandals, boots, shoes and so on and so forth. With so many different styles, you can wear different pairs for different occasions. Sometimes though, even if your pair of Berkenstocks is stylish and comfortable, it looks a little dull without some customization. By personalizing your Berkenstocks, you can make your shoes to reflect your personality and it is moderately easy.

I like doing this, I try to personalize everything I own from shoes, clothing, laptop computers, mobile phones and anything that I could adorn with things that reflect me. My Berkenstock now, looks really different from its original appearance when I first bought it. I started personalizing Berkenstocks by experimenting with my old shoes. Obviously, you don’t want to experiment with your new pair, duh! I sometimes use rubber stamps to add pictures or words to the back or side of my shoes. Take note though that if you are doing this on leather, use quick drying solvent ink to avoid smearing, trust me, I found out the hard way. If you feel like embossing letters or other characters, you can use metal stamps and properly position them over the leather or suede and use a hammer to impress the shape into the surface. You can also use a sharp tool to etch images or words onto your Berkenstocks. Likewise, you can use decorative pins or tacks to adorn the cork and latex foot bed. I usually write some messages on my Berkenstocks but you can also write movie lines, quotes, lyrics or whatever you feel like writing. I usually use opaque pens to add doodles around the words to add a used-look and personalized-look to them. If you’re having a hard time keeping the ink on the shoe, try priming the surface with a coat of glaze before you write. Finally, you can also use ribbons, charms or any seasonal shapes to decorate the straps and buckles of your Berkenstocks.

Making your Berkenstocks more you can be a fun and entertaining hobby that you can enjoy for many hours. I normally find it quite exciting, especially when I think about how I would decorate them.

Since 1897, Berkenstocks have been around and have become world-famous for its styles and colors that can please even the choosiest person. From completely enclosed shoes to clogs and sandals, there are many kinds of Berkenstocks and many feature uni-sex designs. These shoes are likewise known for their unique fit and comfort but to first time owners, these shoes need some getting used to as it can cause your feet to hurt and give you blisters if your feet cannot properly adjust to them. Well, I know I did, my first time with a pair of Berks was quite unpleasant and it was due to the fact that I did not break them in and I didn’t know that I needed to do that.

I was so excited when I bought my first pair of Berkenstocks because I have been dying to wear one since a lot of people at work were talking about them. During fitting, it felt good wearing them and there wasn’t any indication that I’d get blisters from them. I got the pair and I was so pumped to wear them come Monday at work. So came Monday, I wore it to work, initially there wasn’t any problem but after several minutes of walking, I started getting a few blisters and had to walk with a limp just to avoid stepping on them. I was so angry when I got home because my feet were killing me, I nearly threw away the shoes but remaining calm I searched the internet on solutions for this problem. I learned that moistening my Berks can help speed up the process of breaking them in and I tried using them for shorter amounts of time which I gradually increased as my feet got used to them. To save me from another feet killing experience, I brought a pair of my old shoes to use as an alternative if ever that happens again.

Berk Sandals

Since I started breaking my first pair of Berkenstocks in, my feet has slowly gotten used to the feel of these shoes and so far, so good, not much blisters. I’ll always remember though to break them in when I get my next pair of Berks.
